Utkrishta Bharath

The Utkrishta Bharat club was founded in 2021-22 by a group of dedicated students and scholars who were passionate about promoting awareness of India's rich heritage and culture. They envisioned a club that would inspire and empower students to embrace the values of nation, culture, and civilization, and to cultivate their character and leadership skills. Through a variety of events and programs, the Utkrishta Bharat club seeks to foster a sense of pride and responsibility among students, and to encourage them to make a positive impact in their communities and in the world at large.

Since ancient times, Bharath has been known as the 'Sone Ki Chidiya' or the 'Golden Bird' due to its abundance of culture & tradition, rich heritage, and breathtaking art & architecture. Nations do not become great by accident. They become great because of their responsible citizens. Just as a building needs a robust foundation for support, the foundation of a strong nation lies in its youth who are empowered with cultural values, take pride in the country and are able and willing to contribute for its further development and growth.

National Institute of Technology Karnataka, is one of the premier institutes of India currently having NIRF rank 10 in the engineering category. The institute facilitates transformation of students into good human beings, responsible citizens and competent professionals, focusing on the assimilation, generation and dissemination of knowledge.

The name "Utkrishta Bharath" is composed of two Sanskrit words - "Utkrishta" and "Bharat". "Utkrishta" is an adjective that means elevated, exalted, or excellent. It is derived from the Sanskrit root "kṛṣhṭa" which means to lift up, raise, or exalt. "Bharath" is a Sanskrit term that has been used for India since ancient times. It is derived from the legendary king Bharata, who is said to have ruled over a vast empire that included much of the Indian subcontinent. So, the phrase "Utkrista Bharath" means an elevated or excellent India. It represents a vision of a prosperous and culturally rich India, and conveys a sense of pride and respect for the country's rich cultural heritage.

In recognition of this large demographic diversity, the following descriptions are not intended to represent every Indian person. However, there are common themes and principles that contribute to the values, attitudes, beliefs and norms of the dominant society. Generally speaking, Indians tend to have a strong sense of pride in the distinctiveness and diversity of their culture. For example, the country’s agricultural expansions and technological advancements in infrastructure, science and engineering are sources of pride. Moreover, a considerable amount of pride stems from India's rich artistic cultural exports of music, fine arts, literature and spirituality (Example- the practice of yoga in the world).
